However, like so many others, any plans we had for 2020 were crushed In September 2017 I will be embarking on a Mental Health Placement in Bali with SLV. This organisation works to help those suffering from mental health problems in Bali and Sri Lanka. At the same time, it allows people like me to gain invaluable experience and develop skills in the clinical field of psychology.

We provide psychology students and graduates from around the world the opportunity to gain valuable, practical psychology work experience whilst being immersed in a unique and exciting culture.

With my team, I designed activities and planned different sessions for each project. running therapeutic activities with service users suffering from a range of mental health difficulties. Following my placement, I was appointed an SLV.Global Tourism is Bali's main enterprise and so the English language is of great value as it provides individuals with better career prospects. I know this is a huge ask but I am so lucky to have been accepted onto the SLV Global programme which is renowned for helping vulnerable people in poor countries by promoting positive mental health and What impressed me about SLV.Global before I went on the placement in Sri Lanka, were their strong values and ethical standards that SLV.Global uphold.
